Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup granulated Sugar
1/2 quart Applesauce
1 cup melted Margarine
1 1/2 cup Egg
1/2 quart sifted All-purpose Flour
1/2 tblsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Grounded Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Nutmeg powder
1 cup Raisins
1/2 cup chopped Walnuts
1 tblsp Margarine
How to make apple sauce raisin bread:
- Beat the sugar, applesauce, melted margarine and eggs on medium speed for half a minute.
- Sift the dry ingredients flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg together.
- Add this mixture to the applesauce mixture.
- Beat on medium speed for 1 minute.
- Add the raisins and the chopped walnuts.
- Now grease 2 loaf pans with 1 tsp margarine on each.
- Pour half the mixture in one pan and another half in another.
- Bake at 350 for one hour.
- Take it out and let it cool.
- When completely cool cut each loaf into slices.
